If there's one thing that can be said about NXT, as a brand, it's that it has earned quite a bit of popularity over the past couple of years. Even though it may be a training ground, there's nothing that can change the fact that it has been able to evolve. It's a point that just about any Long Island advertising agency can attest to as well. It can be marketed better, though, and I believe that the services of the agency in question can prove to be quite useful.
NXT, for those who aren't in the know, is a type of wrestling show that is hosted on the WWE Network every Thursday night. It's made to showcase the various talents who are still learning the ropes, all the while giving them a broader platform to work on. The fact that they have a live audience to work off of only helps matters that much more. It also doesn't hurt that WWE has been able to grant NXT quite a bit of time on television, at least in preparation for live events.
I believe that the most striking example would be the allowance of an NXT tag team match on RAW. What happened was, to hype the live special event known as NXT Takeover 2, a total of four NXT wrestlers worked in front of a live crowd on RAW. The fact that they were given valuable TV time speaks volumes about the faith that the company has in its own farming facility of sorts. Of course, like with anything, WWE's marketing of NXT can be better.
If you ask me, I believe that it's important for WWE to create advertising outside of its own material, which has been a big point of contention for me. Why continually address your own audience while there are non-fans who may enjoy the content if they give it a chance? To do this, NXT can be highlighted, which I'm sure that any Long Island advertising agency can prove to be effective at. This is just one idea that can be suggested by reputable firms along the lines of fishbat.
Professional wrestling fans can enjoy NXT and there are many reasons for this. Keep in mind that it feels very old-school, in regards to the environment, which is surprising given that WWE is a worldwide conglomerate. Of course, the material showcased on NXT is engaging as well, which is a point that very few will argue with once they're exposed to it. This program can become bigger, provided there are enough eyes placed upon it.
