If you are studying at night make sure that, you have a lamp on the desk to give more light when you study at night. You should try not to study in a room where the television is playing. This can be a very big distraction for you.

Make sure that you have something, like a bottle of water to drink. You will need to stay hydrated in the time that you are studying. Make sure that it is not too hot for you to study or too cold for you.

You should get enough rest. Do not try and study until early morning hours. You will be so tired eventually that even though you study you will not remember anything. It is extremely important that you get enough sleep.

Apart from getting enough sleep, you need to make sure that you limit the amount of energy drinks and caffeine drink that you consume. This will put you on some kind of high and then you will feel like you do not need any sleep. This is very wrong.

You should go outside, take a walk around, get some fresh air and come back inside. You should also go to the toilet and get something fresh to drink and maybe something to eat. As soon as your time is up you should get back to your room and carry on with your studies.

Talking about the test before the time will make you unsure of what you really know. Never study when you are tired. This will just frustrate you, as you will not remember what you are studying. As soon as you find out about the test that you will be writing you should start studying.
