The Importance Of Inspirational Songs Imparting Peace

If there ever was a time that the world needed inspiration, it is now. One way individuals can help this come to pass is by playing, singing and sharing inspirational songs imparting peace. While Bob Marley's song, One Love, is often a good example, there are also current day artists creating, sharing and singing these songs.

As with past music artists, performance artists and poets, current and future ones will continue to tackle issues related to peace and harmony in the world. Currently, those doing so seem to be more focused on issues related to economic, racial and social justice. For, most believe if progress can be made in these areas, then a peaceful world is more likely to become a reality.

There have been a number of artists whose songs have no doubt had a major impact on the world, John Lennon and Leonard Cohen to name a few. While this is the case, it is still important that current and future artists continue to work in this area. For, whether a song can change the world, or only bring peace and harmony to a community during a crisis, there is still an ongoing purpose and need for this music.

It is important that performance artists, poets, singer-songwriters and bands continue to provide this integral music. For, while there often seems to be no end to the troubles at hand, the music can at lest work to calm the souls of people in the present. As such, whether changing the world, or only bringing a few moments of peace, there is an ongoing need and purpose for this music.

It is also essential that individuals interested in changing the world for the better become involved in community action and organizations. Whether community or politically based, working with people on the local level can often lead to global change. As such, the best way for a community to have an impact on the larger world is through the participation and work of those involved in local events.

Most often, individuals lucky enough to have cable or satellite television can listen to a number of different artists and genres on numerous channels. Whereas, there are others whom live in rural areas or can not afford these services whom may only get a few radio stations. For those whom have internet, Internet Archive dot org, YouTube and Facebook Live can often provide a great deal of music which is often gratifying and uplifting.

In the 60s and 70s, groups which were great at spreading peace and harmony through songs of revolution and change included, The Beatles, Peter, Paul and Mary and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young among others. Whereas, today, songs such as John Lennon's Imagine still sits at the top of many charts when in comes to this type music.

When it comes to inspiring music which can promote peace and harmony, some is better than others. While this is the case, any music in which the intention is to create a more peaceful world is often worth checking out. After which, even if one does not necessarily enjoy the experience, it can often be good to share the work with others.
